Cole cautiously opened the door into an empty, office like room.

"I dunno, but he's almost as white as you are."

Laurel squished up close to him so she could get a better look.

"Heh." Milo said. "let's go find out why he's staring at us. " She headed toward the boy.


"maybe there are some incriminating files in here" Cole said mischeviously. "Like maybe some on Milo we could show to August...heheheh, how cruel..."

"...Ehh, Milo's cute. Why do we have to torture her?" Laurel made a pouty face at Cole.

August started on how that wouldn't be the greatest idea, but followed Milo anyways.

Cole raised his mangled hand. "She's a b*tch. and a loser. And how can you think she's cute? She looks disgusting..."


The boy looked up when Milo and friends got close. He was about their age, maybe a little older. "Hi." he said simply.

August was silent.

Laurel nodded "Absolutely vulgar. Horrid. Disgusting." She said, attempting to be a suck-up.

"So anyway, are you from the school?" said Jack in a cool tone. "You guys look like the other schoolies. You've all got that drugged out, crazed look to your eyes. Did you bring any of those dr*gs with you?"


" Milo is harboring something dark, I'm sure of it, and we've gotta expose. We've gotta ruin her, Laurel, whatever it takes."

Laurel nodded enthusiastically.

August rolled his eyes and grabbed Milo's hand. He began walking the other direction.

"Hey hold up!"said the boy. "Really, let's just chat for a little. I want to find out about this school, kids, just as much as you guys want to figure Coal Grove out, probably."



"Well Laurel, what are you waiting for? Let's start searching!"

"Kids? Prey tell, how much older than us are you?" August glared and tried to keep the sarcasm out of his voice.

Laurel pulled a bobby pin out of her hair and began picking the locks on the file cabinets.
